Southbridge Serves (from Guest Blogger Meghann Ackerman)
Hi, my name is Meghann Ackerman, and as a member of the Southbridge Outreach & Communications team, I would like to invite you to participate in SOUTHBRIDGE SERVES on November 12-14th.
Southbridge Serves is an opportunity for us, as people who have received incredible grace, to extend that grace to others by serving our community and sharing with them the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ.
As a church, Southbridge Fellowship is seeking to both equip you and provide you with consistent outreach opportunities as individuals, families, and community groups, so that we can can overwhelm our community with the gospel in both word and deed.
SOUTHBRIDGE SERVES is an opportunity for you to come learn the vision for lifechange that is possible in a community through the actions of believers, to be equipped to have intentional conversations and to share the gospel, and then to go out and serve!
We are trusting God to move in a mighty way through this focused weekend of prayer and service and we challenge you to prayerfully consider how you can be involved.
Thank you!

Q: My community group wants to serve together- what can we do?
A: Every service project listed can be structured for a community group- if you need more information or have questions or would like examples of how other community groups are serving please email outreach@southbridgefellowship or call Meghann Ackerman at 919-841-3802.
Q: My community group/family will be serving together- do we EACH have to register online?
A: YES, PLEASE! We apologize for the inconvenience but yes, we would ask you to sign up individually so we have an accurate count for Friday, accurate t-shirt order, and to make the administration of the weekend go smoothly. It should take 2 minutes per person max! We thank you in advance for your understanding! If you have trouble with the website, or you are unable to sign up online for some reason email us at outreach@southbridgefellowship.com
Q: I can help in whatever way is needed- where do you need help?
A: That is great! The first option on the sign-up page is “I am willing to serve in any way that is needed on Saturday, November 13th. Assign me where needed between the times I indicate I am available.” Please click that box and let us know the times you are available on Saturday and we will plug you in as needed- thank you!
Q: Is there childcare provided Friday night?
A: No, I am sorry there is no childcare on Friday night.
Q: I don’t feel led to serve in any of the service projects Southbridge listed- can I still participate?
A: YES! Please join us Friday night and let us know how you will be serving on Saturday by completing the online sign-up. The last option on the sign-up form is for you to tell us how you will be serving the community and you can RSVP for Friday there as well.
Q: I am out of town, or cannot serve with the 2010 Southbridge Serves – is there any way I can participate (and get a t-shirt)?
A: YES! Commit to praying and/or fasting on Saturday and let us know you are doing that by signing up online.
Q: When will I get more specific instructions and my nifty t-shirt?
A: Instructions will be sent out via email by November 5th; t-shirts will be given out Friday night (12th), or may be picked up Sunday, November 7th if you are registered by 10/28.
Q: I have an idea for a service project Southbridge should do- who do I tell?
A: Great! Email outreach@southbridgefellowship.com and we can talk with you further about your idea and consider it for the future.
