About Scott
Who am I and how did I get here?
My name is Scott Lehr. I am the lead Pastor at Southbridge Fellowship. We officially launched on March 4th, 2007 with a vision not simply to launch a church, but to reach a city for Christ. God laid that vision on our hearts while my wife Shanna and I were living in Dallas, Texas. At the time I was completing my time in seminary at DTS and serving at Prestonwood Baptist Church.
We had never lived in the Raleigh-Durham, area before, but believed that God was calling us here to reach this city for Jesus Christ. Once we stepped out to plant Southbridge it was like we stepped on to a roller coaster ride that has been more than we would have ever asked or imagined. From Dallas, we were selected to be a part of a church planting residency at Fellowship Associates in Little Rock, Arkansas which is closely related to Fellowship Bible Church. In May of 2006 the Elders in Little Rock, laid hands on us and sent us out to plant Southbridge Fellowship in Raleigh. In August of 2006, approximately 40 people gathered to talk about starting an outwardly focused church now known as Southbridge Fellowship.
Why blog?
This blog is going to be a journal of some of the things God is doing in my life. God has me on a journey and this is a way to record the process.
What do I enjoy?
My primary passion is to see people reached and changed from the inside out by Jesus Christ.
I also love my family, which right now includes My wife Shanna, our daughter Ella (4), our daughter Ava (3 ), and our youngest Jane (almost 1). We have a blast at our house. It is loud, it can be crazy, but it is fun. We really enjoy laughing.

I love humor. My favorite comedian right now is: Brian Regan.
Shanna and I love to travel (anywhere new and we have a few favorites). Our favorite family vacation place is Hilton Head. Our favorite all time trip was to Greece.
I also love college sports. Living here in ACC country I was told not to pick a favorite among the big three. However, it is hard to ignore the fact that God painted the sky Carolina blue. From my roots I am a Big Ten fan specifically, Michigan State.
I apparently have some desire to love misery too as I am a Detroit Lions fan.
During our time in Dallas Shanna and I both became Dallas Mavericks fans.
We also love food. Angus Barn is great, 518 West has been another of our favorites. You may see a food review or two on the blog at some point.
